【一般社団法人日本ピックルボール協会】JPAとPJF 、統合に向けた基本合意を発表

日本のピックルボールの未来を大きく形成する画期的な決定として、一般社団法人日本ピックルボール協会（JPA）と一般財団法人ピックルボール日本連盟（PJF)は、日本に於けるピックルボールの統治、および世界的な普及拡大を目的とした単一の統括団体として統合するという正式な合意をここに共同で発表いたします。※本基本合意は、2026年１月7日付で締結したものです。
■統合の目的
１．ピックルボールの 2032 年ブリスベンオリンピック正式種目の実現に向けた統合IF(世界連盟）が誕生する中、日本の二つの団体も統合し NF（国内統一団体）となることで新 IFに正式加盟し、アジアのリーダーの一国としてオリンピックへの参加を見据え活動をしていく。

２．この一年での日本のピックルボールの目覚ましい成長をさらに加速させ、日本全国での普及を進め、ピックルボールを競技スポーツとしてだけではなく、健康維持やコミュニケーションツールとして拡大、定着させていく。

この共通のビジョンを現実にするため、両理事会は迅速に行動し、両団体の代表者で構成される合同タスクフォースを設置します。主な目的は、円滑かつ効率的な移行を促進し、両組織の価値を尊重しながら協働的なプロセスを確保し、明確な優先事項と国内スポーツ統治の最高基準を備えた統括組織の設立に向けて継続的に議論をして参ります。
単一の国内団体の設立は、ピックルボールコミュニティ全体に大きな利益をもたらします。この統合により、競技の発展が加速し、さらなる投資を促し、国際舞台における日本のピックルボールの将来に向けた一貫性と持続可能性のある道筋が形成されることが期待されています。なお、本発表は両団体が統合に向けた基本合意に達したことを示すものであり、最終的な統合の実現に向けて両団体は今後誠意を持って協議を進めてまいります。

We are pleased to jointly announce a groundbreaking decision that will significantly shape the future of pickleball in Japan. The boards of the Pickleball Japan Federation (PJF) and the Japan Pickleball Association (JPA) have formally agreed to establish a single unified governing body for pickleball in Japan, with the shared goals of strengthening national governance and contributing to the global growth of the sport.
The objectives of this unification are as follows:


1. As a unified international federation (IF) is being formed with the aim of having pickleball recognized as an official sport at the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games, the two organizations in Japan will also unify to become a single National Federation (NF). Through this, Japan will officially join the new IF and work toward Olympic participation as one of the leading nations in Asia.
2. To further accelerate the remarkable growth of pickleball in Japan over the past year, expand its nationwide reach, and promote pickleball not only as a competitive sport but also as a tool for health, wellness, and community-building, ultimately establishing it as a long-term part of Japanese society.

To bring this shared vision to life, both boards have acted swiftly and established a joint task force composed of representatives from both organizations. The primary purpose of this task force is to ensure a smooth and efficient transition, maintain a collaborative process that respects the values of both organizations, and guide the unification toward creating a governing body with clear priorities and the highest standards of national sports governance.
The creation of a single national federation will bring significant benefits to the entire pickleball community. This unification is expected to accelerate the development of the sport, attract greater investment, and establish a consistent and sustainable path for the future of Japanese pickleball on the international stage.
This announcement reflects the parties’ agreed intent to unify, and the parties will continue to engage in good-faith discussions toward the execution of a definitive agreement and the successful completion of the unification.
