トルクメニスタンTurkmenhimiya社との協力協定書締結＜English follows＞

東洋エンジニアリング株式会社（取締役社長　細井 栄治、以下 TOYO）は、トルクメニスタンで化学品などの生産・販売を担う国営のTurkmenhimiya社(トルクメンヒミヤ社、会長 Dovrangeldi Sapbayev)と今後同社が計画するガス関連プロジェクトを中心に将来投資案件実現に向けて協力する内容の協定書を締結いたしました。

豊富な資源を有する中央アジアの昨今の地政学的重要性の高まりを受け、日本政府は同地域との連携を強める方針を打ち出して、日本企業の進出を後押ししています。 これを受けて日本政府や多くの日本企業が参加した中央アジアビジネスフォーラムがカザフスタンのアスタナで8月9日に開催され、この機会に協定書を締結しました。

TOYOはトルクメニスタンでガス処理/エチレン/ポリプロピレンプラントの建設プロジェクトを2014年に受注し完工した実績を有しており、今回の協定書締結を受け、トルクメニスタンの化学産業拡大への協力を通じて同国の発展に貢献していくべく、新規プロジェクトの実現に取り組んでいきます。

Conclusion of Memorandum of Understanding with Turkmenhimiya

Toyo Engineering Corporation (President and CEO Eiji Hosoi, “TOYO”) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the State Concern Turkmenhimiya (Chairman Dovrangeldi Sapbayev) which oversees the production and sales of chemicals in Turkmenistan. This agreement is aimed at fostering collaboration between TOYO and Turkmenhimiya to realize future projects utilizing country’s natural gas resources.

In line with the growing geopolitical importance of Central Asia which is rich in mineral resources, the Japanese government has shown strong interest in supporting Japanese companies in expanding their business operations in the region. The Central Asia Business Forum, held in Astana, Kazakhstan, on August 9, 2024, provided a key opportunity for TOYO to conclude the Memorandum with Turkmenhimiya. The forum was attended by representatives of the Japanese government and numerous Japanese companies.

TOYO has a proven track record in Turkmenistan, having signed a contract in 2014 and successfully completed the construction of gas processing, ethylene, and polypropylene plants. TOYO remains committed to contributing to Turkmenistan's development through the realization of new projects and the expansion of the country's chemical industry.
