元気が有り余っているユニークなおばあちゃんたちをメタバースの世界で人気アイドルに育てていくプロジェクトです。広島県三原市出身85歳のひろこが0期生としてデビューしている。YouTubeチャンネルはデビュー10日後に登録者3万人を突破した。

ひろこは週刊朝日「今年“跳ねる”100人の主役」に選出されている。「挑戦は何歳からでも遅くないこと」を証明していきます。応募総数60名以上が集まった後期高齢者(75歳以上)しか応募できないオーディションを勝ち抜いた3名(ハマコ・はなえ・かおる)がメタばあちゃん1期生としてデビューしグループの平均年齢も80歳となった。

What is the Meta Grandma Project?


This is a project to develop unique grandmothers with an abundance of energy into popular idols in the world of Metaverse. Hiroko, 85 years old and a local native of Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is making her debut as a member of the first term of the project, and her YouTube channel has over 30,000 registered users within 10 days of her debut.

Hiroko was selected as one of the "100 Leading Actors Who Will 'Jump' This Year" by Asahi Weekly. She will prove that it is never too late to take on a challenge, no matter what age a person is. Three members (Hamako, Hanae, and Kaoru) who won the audition, in which more than 60 people applied and only those aged 75 and over were allowed to apply, debuted as the first group of Meta Grandma, and the average age of the group is now 80 years old.
