17日の米国株式市場は反発となった。背景には、ドナルド・トランプ米大統領が対中通商協議に前向きな姿勢を示したことで貿易摩擦への警戒が後退したほか、地銀決算の想定超えも買い戻しを誘ったとの見方がある。米株式市場の動向を横目に、20日の日経平均は反発して取引を開始した。東京株式市場の寄付き後は、米中通商懸念のいったん緩和に加え、自民党と日本維新の会が連立政権の樹立で合意したとの報道により投資家心理が大きく改善。主力ハイテク関連および輸出関連が買われる一方で、地政学リスクや米長期金利上昇の警戒も残存したが、後場も上げ幅を広げ続け、終日堅調な値動きのまま前場終値に至った。
大引けの日経平均は前日比1603.35円高の49185.50円となった。東証プライム市場の売買高は17億9405万株、売買代金は5兆2873億円、業種別では全業種が上昇し、銀行業、情報・通信業、電気機器などが値上がり率上位となっている。東証プライム市場の値上がり銘柄は90.1%、対して値下がり銘柄は8.1%となっている。
