15日前引け時点の日経平均構成銘柄の騰落数は、値上がり153銘柄、値下がり71銘柄、変わらず1銘柄となった。
日経平均は反発。387.20円高の43036.46円（出来高概算10億7238万株）で前場の取引を終えている。
14日の米国株式市場は小幅安となった。ダウ平均は11.01ドル安の44911.26ドル、ナスダックは2.47ポイント安の21710.67で取引を終了した。生産者物価指数（PPI）が3年ぶり大幅な伸びとなったため、大幅利下げ期待が後退した。終日軟調に推移も、利下げ軌道は変わらずとの見方やアマゾンなどのハイテクが強く、相場を支えた。終盤にかけて下げを縮小して終了。
米株式市場の動向を横目に、15日の日経平均は217.12円高の42866.38円と反発して取引を開始した。その後もプラス圏での推移を継続して、43000円を超える水準まで上げ幅を広げた。前日の米PPIの上振れによる利下げ期待後退というネガティブ要因があったものの、昨日の日経平均が600円を超す下げとなったことから、このところの急騰場面で買い遅れていた投資家の買いを誘うとの見方もあった。また、円安進行や2025年4-6月期の国内総生産（GDP）で国内景気の底堅さが意識されたことが追い風となった。
