30日前引け時点の日経平均構成銘柄の騰落数は、値上がり72銘柄、値下がり148銘柄、変わらず5銘柄となった。
日経平均は大幅反落。前日比542.12円安（－1.41％）の37890.86円（出来高概算7億5000万株）で前場の取引を終えている。
29日のダウ平均は117.03ドル高の42215.73ドル、ナスダックは74.93ポイント高の19175.87で取引を終了した。寄り付き後、ダウ、ナスダックともに上昇。好調な決算を発表したエヌビディアの上昇がけん引し、また米国際貿易裁判所がトランプ関税を「違法で無効」と判断し、差し止めを命じる決定をしたことが支援材料となった。しかし、関税を巡っては政権が控訴審で保留が認められない場合、30日にも連邦最高裁判所に上訴する意向を示唆したと伝わったほか、トランプ大統領が別の関税手段を用いることができるとの見方もあり、先行きへの不透明感が上値を抑えた。なお、ダウは構成銘柄のセールスフォースの大幅安も重しとなった。
東京市場は米国関税方針の不透明感が嫌気されて、売り優勢で取引を開始。日経平均は寄付きから38000円台を割り込み、前日の上げ分がほぼはく落した。為替は1ドル143円80銭台と一段の円高ドル安は回避されたが、値がさ半導体株の下げが目立ったことから、前場の日経平均は終始37000円台での推移となった。
