日経平均は251円安でスタート、メルカリやSMCなどが下落

14日の日経平均は251.10円安の37712.87円と4日ぶりに反落して取引を開始した。前日13日の米国株式市場は大幅下落。ダウ平均は524.63ドル安の38272.75ドル、ナスダックは286.95ポイント安の15655.60で取引を終了した。1月消費者物価指数（CPI）の伸びが予想ほど減速せず、早期の利下げ期待を受けた買いが後退し、寄り付き後、下落。その後も、長期金利の大幅上昇に連れて売りが一段と加速し、終日軟調に推移した。戻りなく、終盤にかけて手仕舞い売りを巻き込み下げ幅を拡大した。
今日の東京株式市場は売りが先行した。昨日の米株式市場で主要指数が大幅に下落したことが東京市場の株価の重しとなった。また、日経平均は昨日までの3日続伸で1800円を超す上昇となり、短期的な過熱感が意識され、利益確定売りが出やすかった。一方、外為市場で1ドル＝150円70銭台と、昨日15時頃と比べ1円20銭ほど円安・ドル高に振れたことが、東京市場で輸出株などの株価を支えた。また、今日まで主要企業の決算発表が続き、好決算・好業績銘柄への物色意欲が継続していることが株価下支え要因となったが、寄付き段階では売りが優勢だった。今日は、中国（上海、深セン）、台湾、インドネシア、ベトナム市場が休場となる。
