4月3日の日経平均は前週末比161.87円高の28203.35円と続伸でスタート。3月31日の米国市場でダウ平均は415.12ドル高の33274.15ドル、ナスダックは208.44ポイント高の12221.91で取引を終了。連邦準備制度理事会（FRB）がインフレ指標として注視しているコアPCE価格指数が予想外に前月から伸びが鈍化したため、早期の利上げ停止を見込んだ買いが先行。その後も長期金利の低下がハイテク株を支援し、相場全体を押し上げた。主要株価指数は終日堅調に推移して終了。シカゴ日経225先物は大阪比115円高の28205円。米株高の流れを受けて、本日の日経平均は買いが先行する展開に。
